Scott Minto: Brighton are better than Leeds in these two areas
By Amir Mir
Scott Minto believes Brighton are better than Leeds in attack and defence ahead of their Championship encounter at Elland Road on Saturday evening.
Sky Sports presenter Minto backed the away team to clinch a 1-0 win against Garry Monk’s side in what is an important game in the race for promotion.
The Whites have the Championship’s top scorer amongst their ranks with Chris Wood netting on 22 occasions this term, four more than the Seagulls top scorer Glenn Murray.
Furthermore, Chris Hughton’s side have the meanest defence in the league with only 31 goals conceded in 37 games, Leeds have shipped a respectable 36 goals.
Ahead of the showdown at the weekend, former left-back Minto was full of praise for Monk and the job he has done at the club.

“What a game this is at Elland Road,” Minto told Coral’s official YouTube account. “Two teams really going for the Premier League and have a realistic chance of that.
“Leeds have had a wonderful season so far, what a job Garry Monk has done to get them into the play-offs and to keep them there.
“You have Chris Wood, who is having a fantastic season for Leeds, but he is their only source for goals while you have got four players from Brighton who are in double figures or more. I think they have more options up front. I also think they are stronger defensively.
“I do believe they can go to Elland Road, keep a clean sheet and just get that one nil win.”
Monk’s side have been pretty strong at Elland Road this season, losing on only two occasions in front of their own supporters since November.
They go into this game having battled to a 0-0 draw against Ian Holloway’s QPR last Saturday, with their last win coming at Birmingham on March 3.
By contrast, automatic hopefuls Brighton go into this match having secured back-to-back wins, including an impressive 3-0 win against Derby County last time out.
Newcastle currently lead the table on goal difference and they could lose out on top spot if they drop points at Birmingham on Saturday.
