Scottish pundit claims new Celtic signing 'in the pipeline' after transfer reveal
Alan Hutton has suggested Celtic have got at least one new signing “in the pipeline” ahead of the January transfer window.
The former Rangers defender, speaking exclusively to Football Insider, insisted Ange Postecoglou would be working on a number of targets behind closed doors.
As quoted by the Daily Record last Friday (26 November), Postecoglou revealed he wants to “add depth” to the squad in January and that he is expecting additions through the door.
Speaking to the same publication on Tuesday (1 December), the manager also revealed he expects some exits from Parkhead next month.
Hutton admitted January is a difficult month to get signings over the line.
As such, he suggested Celtic may already be working through their list of targets.

Hutton told Football Insider’s Russell Edge: “If you ask any manager from any team, there’s stuff in the pipeline.
“There’s always things within squads that managers need to strengthen, change for whatever reason.
“Of course they’ll have targets already pinpointed, positions in the team they think they need to strengthen. They will try and work towards those targets.
“January is normally a difficult month to get in whoever your top target is, if you like. Sometimes other teams don’t want to let go of their best players.
“They’ll have a list. They’ll know what they want to strengthen and how to move forward. So it doesn’t surprise me that they’re working in the background.”
Celtic recruited heavily in the summer window, making no fewer than seven senior signings.
However, they also sold the likes of Odsonne Edouard, Kristoffer Ajer and Ryan Christie.
