Celtic failed to take advantage of playing against ten men for the entirely of the second-half against Motherwell, as the Hoops were held to a goalless draw at Fir Park.

Cedric Kipre was sent-off for a kick out at Scott Brown, which left the Hoops playing against ten men for almost 50 minutes.

Despite plenty of possession the Hoops found it difficult to create chances against a Motherwell side which kept plenty of men behind the ball.

Tom Rogic did come close with two efforts that were saved by Motherwell goalkeeper Trevor Carson, and sub Patrick Roberts hit the top of the crossbar.

The best chance for the Hoops came in the dying seconds of the game, when Scott Sinclair found himself though on goal but dithered and Richard Tait blocked the effort.

The Hoops are now 10 points clear at the top of the lead with a game in hand, but supporters will be disappointed that the win over Rangers last week didn’t lead to another win against Motherwell.
