Sheffield Wednesday vs Norwich City clash ‘vital’ for the future of the club, ‘it is the last opportunity’
Sheffield Wednesday are still looking for a buyer to takeover the club after the Owls were placed into administration.
A 12-point deduction was placed upon Sheffield Wednesday following administration which leaves the club rooted to the bottom of the Championship table on minus points.
John Textor is among prospective buyers looking to takeover Sheffield Wednesday, with the club looking to strike any deal as soon as possible.
Dejphon Chansiri’s ownership of the club has come to an end, meaning supporters have returned to home matches and have started buying merchandise again after a boycott.

Sheffield Wednesday want to sell out Norwich City fixture
Sheffield Wednesday‘s home match against Oxford United was the first of the post-Chansiri era with a recorded attendance of 27,261.
Hillsborough holds just under 40,000 and administrators want to sell out their next home game against Norwich City.
Posting on X, [30 October], BBC Sheffield journalist Rob Staton provided an update on the clubs hope of getting new investment.
“Understand staff at Sheffield Wednesday and the administrators see selling the Norwich game out as vital,” Staton said.

“That could be for more than just financing the club. It’s the last opportunity for prospective buyers to see the full potential of an investment in Sheffield Wednesday.
“By the next home game, the Sheffield derby, whilst the sale process will not be close to a conclusion, the chances of new interested parties coming forward is less likely. By that point, the administrators will likely have moved on to the offer stage.”
Sheffield Wednesday players and staff to be paid
It was understood that Sheffield Wednesday players and staff could be paid late this month, but Staton believes enough funds have been made available to ensure payments are made.
“An update on this situation too — a partial payment from the merchant provider landing this morning means, to our understanding, there is sufficient funds for all staff and players at Sheffield Wednesday to be paid their October wages on time tomorrow,” Staton said.
Sheffield Wednesday have previously been unable to pay players and staff on time, so the update will come as a relief to many at the club.
