Teddy Sheringham believes that Tottenham duo Harry Kane and Dele Alli have an instinctive relationship that is a pleasure to watch.
The two England internationals have struck up a great partnership at Spurs during the past couple of seasons and are now regarded as two of the best players in the Premier League.
Kane, 23, plays as the central striker in Mauricio Pochettino’s side and has emerged as a prolific goalscorer.
Meanwhile, attacking midfielder Alli has enjoyed a meteoric rise since he arrived from MK Dons and has become an influential figure.
The 21-year-old has pushed into a more advanced role recently and been able to link up with teammate Kane in the final third.
Sheringham has praised the connection between the pair that has helped them become a feared partnership.
“They [Kane and Alli] just look like they understand each other and know instinctively where they’d like the ball to be passed to,” Sheringham said, as quoted by the club’s official website. “You can talk to each other on a football pitch.
“Obviously you can’t always, but it’s not always about word of mouth, it might just be eye contact or maybe even putting a hand up to say that you want it right or left.
“You just get an understanding that is uncanny and long may it continue for Tottenham. It’s just a lovely combination to watch.”
Kane was in sensational scoring form last season, netting 35 times in just 38 appearances across all competitions.
He is thriving off the service of his Spurs teammates, with the likes of Alli, Christian Eriksen and Heung-Min Son turning provide for their central striker.
Allí has also been prolific in front of goal in a Spurs team that secured second in the Premier League last season.
The playmaker made 50 appearances across all competitions, scoring 22 goals and supplying 13 assists in return.
Sheringham was a part of several partnerships with Alan Shearer and Darren Anderson during his playing career, something that can prove unplayable for opposition’s defences.
Spurs have their own duo that are now terrorising opponents and are seen as key men for their immediate future.
In other Tottenham news, Heung-Min Son has shared why he was scared of this teammate.
