Sherwood delivers Arsenal ultimatum as he reveals how to beat Tottenham

Former Tottenham manager has said that Arsenal have got to win in Saturday’s north London derby or forget about any hopes of securing a top four spot this season.
The Gunners, who beat Tottenham 2-0 thanks to goals from Shkodran Mustafi and Alexis Sanchez in the reverse fixture back in November, currently sit in sixth, four points behind Spurs in fifth and five behind fourth placed Chelsea.
With just 12 games left to play of the current campaign, Sherwood has delivered the Gunners with the ultimatum that if they fail to pick up victory against their near neighbours then their hopes of Champions League football will lie in tatters.
However, he has revealed that Arsene Wenger’s men must follow in the footsteps of top four rivals Liverpool to defeat Spurs, with the Reds being held to a 2-2 draw last weekend in what was a dramatic end to the clash.
He told Alan Brazil’s Sports Breakfast on talkSPORT (09/02, 06:00): “If you give Tottenham space to play, like Man United did, I think they’ll just open you up.
“They can beat you all ends up, but if you press them, like Liverpool did, it causes them problems. It obviously takes a very fit team to do that over 90 minutes.
Bringing in Mkhitaryan and Aubameyang and Ozil signing a new contract has lifted the spirits at Arsenal, but this is a game they can’t lose.
“I believe they have to win this game to have any chance of getting in the top four.”
Tottenham come into the game off the back of a 2-0 midweek victory over Newport County in their FA Cup replay, while Arsenal thrashed Everton 5-1 with a debut goal for new striker Pierre-EMerick Aubemeyang.
