Simon Jordan delivers humorous three-word response to Everton star's Twitter message
By Harvey Byrne
Simon Jordan has humorously responded “but I’m off” to Everton star Romelu Lukaku’s Twitter message thanking teammates, staff and fans after being named the club’s player of the season and players’ player of the season.
The powerful Belgian forward has had another impressive campaign in a Toffees shirt, scoring an incredible 24 goals in 35 Premier League appearances.
His success has however brought interest from club’s further up the ladder and one name heavily reported is former club Chelsea.
Lukaku’s contract is also set to expire in the summer of 2019, bringing more speculation that he could leave this summer due to his value expected to plummet.
Now, former Crystal Palace chairman has jumped on the doubt by responding to Lukaku’s message via his own personal Twitter account with “but I’m off”.
I want to thank my teammates and the staff for helping me this season! To the fans thank you for your amazing support God bless you pic.twitter.com/FV22vJoCex

Lukaku, 23, has been at Everton since completing a loan move from Chelsea in the summer of 2013 before signing permanently a year later in a huge £28million deal.
He has since repaid that fee with a stunning return of 86 goals in 164 appearances in total for the club and it now seems as though it’s a matter of how much longer the Toffees can keep hold of him.
In other Everton news, this Toffees attacker is set to sign a new long-term contract at the club on Wednesday.
