Simon Jordan mocks Sol Campbell on Twitter after Tottenham snub

By Amir Mir

Simon Jordan has mocked Sol Campbell on Twitter by referring to Tottenham’s decision to not invite their former player to their final match at White Hart Lane.

Spurs will take on Manchester United in a Premier League encounter on Sunday afternoon, with a number of ex-players and managers attending the match.

Former England international Campbell was not invited to the farewell encounter at the Lane, with his agent standing up for his client after the snub.

During his playing days, Campbell made an infamous move from Tottenham to the club’s bitter rivals Arsenal in 2001, his free transfer did not go down too well with the Spurs supporters.

Nonetheless, when Campbell posted a video of himself looking and seemingly reflecting at the camera, Jordan issued this response as to what he was thinking.

“Sol Campbell studying his invite to Tottenham on Sunday,” Jordan wrote on his personal Twitter account.

Campbell has not been forgiven by the Spurs fans for moving to Arsenal as they have since dubbed the former centre-back as ‘Judas’.

There is no doubt that fans will be pleased not to see Campbell in attendance as they aim to clinch all three points against United.

The likes of Ricky Villa, former manager Harry Redknapp and playmaker Glenn Hoddle are expected to be in attendance.

Mauricio Pochettino’s side, who are yet to be beaten in front of their own fans this term, will be looking to put on a show and bounce back from their 1-0 defeat at West Ham last time out.

In other Tottenham news, Graham Robers states whether Gareth Bale will be attending the United match at the weekend.
