Simon Jordan delivers verdict on Celtic top-six PL claim, compares to Rangers
By Will Butcher
Simon Jordan believes Celtic would finish mid-table at best if they played in the Premier League after Brendan Rodgers claimed they would finish in the top six.
Sky Sports quoted Bhoys boss Rodgers as saying that Celtic would rival the top six of the English Premier League earlier this month, if they plied their trade south of the border.
Replying to a Celtic fan on his personal Twitter account, former Crystal Palace owner Jordan disagreed by stating at least seven Premier League sides would finish above the Hoops.
Jordan, who is widely known for his outspoken views on football, also claimed a “resurgent Rangers” would be a more dominant force in the Premier League.

Celtic have dominated Scottish football in Rodgers’ first season in charge on Parkhead, with the chance of a treble still very much alive.

Winning their sixth consecutive Scottish Premiership title in a row, former Liverpool boss Rodgers has also seen the Bhoys hold aloft the Scottish League Cup.
Celtic face Old Firm rivals Rangers in the semi-final of the Scottish Cup later this month, as a final against either Hibernian or Aberdeen awaits them at Hampden Park.
But with a gulf in class between English and Scottish football, Jordan believes Celtic are still some way off the biggest clubs down south.
