Sky: Devastating blow as star player to miss Celtic v Bayern Munich
By Harvey Byrne
Bayern Munich have been dealt a devastating blow with goalkeeper star Manuel Neuer set to miss the rest of 2017, meaning he will miss both group stage clashes against Celtic, according to Sky.
The popular broadcasters have detailed on their website that the 31-year-old will not be available for the clashes against the Hoops on October 18 and then again on October 31.
This will of course provide a big boost to Brendan Rodgers’ side with Neuer one of the best goalkeepers in world football and an almost impenetrable force.
The 74-time capped Germany international has already kept three clean sheets in his first four matches in all competitions for Bayern Munich this season.
However, he will now need to wait before adding to those totals with the Sky report stating he should return in January 2018, when the Champions League group stage is over.

Celtic themselves have recently been boosted with players returning from injuries with star striker Moussa Dembele making a scoring return against Ross County while centre-back Dedryck Boyata is also reportedly close to a return.
Dembele himself will also provide the Hoops a huge boost in Europe and with Neuer missing the Scottish giants could pull off a massive shock.
In other Celtic news, Rodgers has revealed this Hoops speed machine is in line for a new deal.
