Sky: Leeds in battle to sign second Spanish attacker, initial talks held with rivals
By Harry Sykes
Leeds have joined the race to sign Norwich attacking midfielder Sergi Canos, according to a report.
Sky Sports claim on their website that the Yorkshire giants are interested in rivalling Brentford for the former Liverpool ace.
It is said that the west London outfit have already held initial talks to re-sign the Spain Under-19 international, who spent a successful season on loan at Griffin Park in 2015/16.
Canos, 19, opted to join Norwich last summer from Liverpool on a four-year contract but has struggled to nail down a regular place in Alex Neil’s squad.
Sky Sports report that the right winger is open to a transfer and his preference would be to join Brentford if a deal can be secured between the two Championship clubs.

Leeds have already signed one Spanish attacker in the January window after announcing on Monday that they had converted Pablo Hernandez’s half-season loan into a permanent transfer.
The playmaker, 31, has signed a deal that runs until the end of 2016/17 and incorporates an option for it to be extended by a further 12 months.
Canos is at the other end of his career and has made an impression at Norwich, scoring three goals and supplying two assists in his eight first-team appearances.
But the teenager has had just 500 minutes of senior action and could push for a transfer to Brentford, where he scored seven goals and provided five assists in 39 matches.
In other Leeds transfer news, the club are in talks to sign a £10million-rated Premier League striker.
