Sky Sports: Centre-forward will definitely miss Tottenham v Rochdale with injury blow
Rochdale centre-forward Calvin Andrew will “definitely” miss his side’s FA Cup Fifth Round replay clash against Tottenham at Wembley on Wednesday night, according to a report.
Sky Sports claims that Andrew, 31, will be sidelined having failed to recover from an injury.
It is no doubt a major blow for Andrew, who has missed a chance to play at Wembley.
He has made 28 appearances in all competitions this season, scoring five goal and supplying five assists but it seems that the former Crystal Palace striker will be unable to add to those tallies in London on Wednesday night.
It is understood that Rochdale are likely to field the same team that earned a draw against Tottenham at Spotland earlier this month.
Steve Davies scored a 93rd minute equaliser in a dramatic 2-2 draw against a Spurs side that saw goals by Lucas Moura and Harry Kane cancelled out.
Spurs have got injury worries of their own by Mauricio Pochettino was always likely to field a rotated team.
Jan Vertonghen and Toby Alderweireld are out with minor setbacks while Sky Sports reports that Michel Vorm, Kieran Trippier, Danny Rose, Harry Winks and Heung-Min Son are all set to come into the starting line-up.
In other Tottenham news, Arsenal legend Ian Wright destroyed this £23million Spurs player after the win against Crystal Palace.
