Sky Sports pundit delivers verdict on Tottenham without Kane, identifies star man (not Alli)
By Matt Farr
Sky Sports pundit Matt Le Tissier has heaped praise on Son Heung-Min for stepping up for Tottenham in the absence of Harry Kane.
Tottenham’s talisman has missed their last three Premier League matches with an ankle injury, dealing a potentially devastating setback to the club’s end of season ambitions.
However, Tottenham have since proved they can cope without their star man, picking up three wins from their three games in his absence.
They have scored seven goals in the process, with Dele Alli and Son Heung-Min sharing the goalscoring burden at White Hart Lane.
But Le Tissier singled out Son for particular praise, admitting that he has been impressed with the way the South Korea international has stepped in and helped carry Tottenham through Kane’s continued absence unscathed.

Speaking live on the Premier League Daily show on Sky Sports on Thursday morning (10am), he said: “It was a little bit of a worry.
“The question mark all season was ‘what if Harry Kane’ picks up an injury’, because obviously Janssen hadn’t really hit any kind of form. You were going to worry.
“I thought Son would step up. I’ve been really impressed with him this season and I think he’s come on a bundle, and he has really stepped up to the plate.”
Son has scored 16 goals and supplied seven assists from 38 appearances in all competitions this season.
The former Southampton goalscorer was also impressed by the goalscoring impact of midfielder Alli, who netted his 18th goal of the season in the win over Swansea on Wednesday.
Tottenham came from behind to pull-off a dramatic comeback victory at the Liberty Stadium, with Alli, Son and Christian Eriksen each scoring within the final six minutes of the game to seal a 3-1 win.
Former Spurs winger Wayne Routledge had earlier given Swansea the lead after 11 minutes.
