Sky Sports pundit: This Tottenham duo were excellent against Chelsea

Sky Sports pundit Frank Sinclair has claimed that Chelsea failed to cope with Tottenham duo Kyle Walker and Danny Rose in Wednesday’s encounter.
Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino opted for a tactical reshuffle at the back and he adopted the Blues’ 3-4-3 formation for the clash.
This involved Walker and Rose taking up the wing-back roles and although they didn’t get on a score sheet, or provide an assist in the clash former Chelsea defender Sinclair believes they were key in their side’s victory.
“There aren’t many teams that can setup in a 3-4-3 to match Chelsea and have wing-backs as good as Tottenham’s are,” started Sinclair speaking on Thursday’s Sky Sports News.
“I think that was key in the game in the wide areas, Walker and Danny Rose were excellent going forward and the pace they had going forward Chelsea couldn’t cope with it.”

The match at White Hart Lane was decided by two goals for young attacking midfielder Dele Alli with Christian Eriksen providing both assists.
However, Walker and Rose were relentless at getting up and down the pitch and helped nullify high quality attackers in Eden Hazard and Pedro.
The England international duo have been in fine form for Tottenham this season and have been key for helping Spurs boast the best defence in the league, while also providing an attacking threat.
The win in midweek has now moved Tottenham up to third place in the league table, pushing fierce rivals Arsenal out of the top four.
Their next fixture on Sunday will see them take on Aston Villa in the FA Cup before facing West Brom in the league on 14 January.
