Sky Sports pundit Matt Le Tissier has joked that Southampton’s new signing Mario Lemina will follow the trend of joining Liverpool next summer.
The 23-year-old completed his £15.4million move from Juventus to St. Mary’s on Tuesday after he put pen-to-paper on a five-year deal and completed a medical.
However Saints legend Le Tisser had a funny outlook on the transfer as he suggested that Liverpool will come calling once again for Lemina next year, like they have done many times in the past.
“Welcome to Southampton, Mario Lemina and good luck on your next move to Liverpool next year,” said Le Tissier on his personal Twitter account on Tuesday night.

Southampton’s star defender Virgil van Dijk has been widely reported to be wanted by Liverpool this summer, with the Dutchman recently handing in a transfer request to try and force a move away from St. Mary’s.
He won’t be the only one to switch the south-coast for Merseyside if anything comes to fruition with Rickie Lambert, Nathaniel Clyne, Adam Lallana, Sadio Mane and Dejan Lovren all making the switch in recent years.
However if Le Tissier’s light-hearted prediction is to go by, Premier League new boy Lemina could also be turning out at Anfield in time for the 2018/19 season.
The six-times Gabon international has left Serie A title-winners Juventus after failing to earn consistent football in their first-team last term.
Across all competitions in the 2016/17 season, Lemina scored one goal and supplied one assist in 29 appearances, though most of them were from the bench.
In other Liverpool news, this Reds attacker is set to make a decision on his future.
