Sky Sports pundit predicts Aston Villa v Brentford

David Prutton has backed Aston Villa to get back to winning ways against Brentford when Championship action resumes on Saturday.
The Sky Sports pundit has predicted that Steve Bruce’s men will earn a 2-1 win at Villa Park against a Brentford side which he thinks will struggle this season.
The Villains looked to have turned a corner in August thanks to a 4-2 win over Norwich and a 4-1 victory over Wigan in the Carabao Cup before they were held by Bristol City prior to the international break.
That stalemate put Aston Villa 18th in the Championship standings and now ex-Leeds midfielder Prutton is backing them to shoot further up the table on Saturday.
“It’s looking like it might be a tough season for Brentford, especially after losing Jota on Deadline Day. Many tipped Dean Smith’s side as dark horses but they’ll need to turn their form around quickly,” he said on the Sky Sports website.

“Aston Villa’s away struggles continued against Bristol City last time out, but they should be too strong at Villa Park and this feels like a home win to me.”
Brentford humiliated Villa in their last meeting in January when the London side eased to a 3-0 victory without Scott Hogan as he closed on his move to the West Midlands.
At Villa Park last season, the Villains were held to a 1-1 draw after John Egan scored a late equaliser to cancel out Jonathan Kodjia’s opener.
It could be another testing clash for Bruce’s men but Brentford are out of form at the moment and are yet to pick up a league win in their first five matches.
In other Aston Villa news, this senior duo is a doubt for the clash with the Bees.
