Sky Sports pundit predicts Rangers clash v Hibernian, names 20-year-old as game changer
Sky Sports Scottish football pundit Andy Walker has predicted Rangers’ Scottish Premiership clash against Hibernian at Easter Road on Sunday.
Writing in his column on the Sky Sports website, Walker has predicted a 2-1 win for the Gers.
His key player for the match is 20-year-old Gers midfielder Ross McCrorie, who he believes “has the ability to develop his game and be part of a better side next season”.
The Gers need to win the match to have a chance of finishing in second place in the Scottish Premiership table, as they currently sit one point behind Aberdeen in the league table, with the Dons having a tough looking trip to Celtic Park.
Football Insider verdict
It hasn’t been a good season at all for the Gers, but they can finish the season with a flourish if they are able to finish the season in runners-up spot in the Scottish Premiership. Steven Gerrard will of course be watching on, and he will be looking for the Gers to stand up and be counted in what will no doubt be an intimidating atmosphere, as Hibernian manager Neil Lennon will not want the Gers to win at Easter Road. The Gers have had a hard time against Hibernian this season, losing twice at Ibrox against them and pulling off a smash and grab win at Easter Road. However, after the decent performance against Aberdeen on Tuesday which got the Gers a 1-1 draw, caretaker boss Jimmy Nicholl will be confident that the Gers will be able to put in a performance that will be good enough to get the three points which could well be enough to clinch second place.
