Sky Sports pundit says what makes Antoine Semenyo truly ‘unique’ after Bournemouth masterclass

Bournemouth won 3-1 at home against Fulham to go second in the Premier League table ahead of the international break.

Fulham midfielder Sasa Lukic went off early, with Marco Silva being forced into his second substitution in the first 15 minutes in as many games.

Fulham fans sung the praises of Tom Cairney, who replaced Lukic, but it was Antoine Semenyo and Justin Kluivert who stole the show, scoring for the hosts in their 3-1 win.

That was after Ryan Sessegnon had given the visitors the lead, with Fulham overcoming their striker injury crisis.

Jamie Redknapp wowed by key Antoine Semenyo trait

Semenyo’s brace and assist continued the Ghanaian’s blistering run of form to start the season for Bournemouth.

Jamie Redknapp highlighted Semenyo for his performance on Sky Sports post-match coverage and was wowed by how good he is with both feet.

“It was a hard night to play football, but it didn’t matter to him; he just glides across the pitch,” Redknapp said.

“He’s an incredibly unique talent, such a fantastic player, he’s so easy on the eye, whether it’s his left foot or right foot, it doesn’t matter.

“The manager makes good assists, brings on Kluivert, who scores a world-class goal, but it was a good night for them; they were struggling at one point, and you wondered how they’d turn it around, but when you’ve got that number 24 on the team, you’ve always got a chance. He’s such a unique player.”

Antoine Semenyo shines for Bournemouth once again

It was another special night for Semenyo, who has continued his impressive vein of form from the 2024-25 campaign.

Dating back to the start of May, Semenyo has been directly involved in 12 goals, the most of any Premier League player across that period.

No player has been involved in more goals in the Premier League this season, either, with Semenyo’s nine league goal involvements equaling Erling Haaland.

Andoni Iraola will hope that Semenyo can continue his good form, with Bournemouth eyeing a European finish in eight months.
