West Ham officials to hold Monday talks with senior figure - Sky

By Amir Mir

Slaven Bilic will hold crisis talks with the West Ham board on Monday, according to a report.

Sky Sports claim the Hammers manager will hold showdown discussions with club chiefs after his side were beaten 5-1 by Arsenal at the London Stadium on Saturday evening.

The result leaves the east London club one point and one place above the relegation zone as their struggles in the Premier League continue.

Gunners forward Alexis Sanchez hit a stunning hat-trick as the Chilean helped inflict an eighth defeat of the campaign on their London rivals.

After the game, Bilic was extremely critical of his players as he questioned their intensity both on the pitch and during training.

One of West Ham’s biggest problems this season has been their continued fragilities in defence. They have conceded 29 goals in 14 league games, only rock bottom Swansea have shipped in more.

Overall they have won only three league fixtures this term and they could fall into the relegation zone, if 19th place Hull beat Middlesbrough on Monday night.

The games do not get easier for Bilic as he travels to Merseyside this Sunday to take on title chasers Liverpool at Anfield.

The Irons then host newly promoted duo Burnley and Hull at the London Stadium, but Bilic’s side have won only two league fixtures on home soil this term.

In other West Ham news, David Gold has expressed his disappointment at the Hammers 5-1 loss to Arsenal.
