By Alex Stevens

Slaven Bilic has revealed that he has blown away by the leadership of West Ham vice-chairman Karren Brady.

Manager Bilic gave a ringing endorsement of the Hammers chief after being pressed for some insight into their working relationship at his weekly media briefing.

It comes the day after Brady was voted as the most influential woman in football in an online poll commissioned by The Football Pools. with an overwhelming 42 per cent share of the vote.

Bilic, who has worked closely with Brady since being appointed manager in the summer of 2015, revealed he is constantly in touch with the workaholic director.

“I meet Karen Brady once a month and we discuss everything,” said Bilic, as quoted by the official West Ham Twitter account. “The quality, effort and hours that she put in are great.

“She is a pioneer for women in football and she has been massive in moving this club forward to where it is today.”

Brady’s career in football began when she was appointed managing director of Birmingham when David Sullivan and David Gold bought the club in 1993, at the tender age of 23.

She presided over the company’s stock market flotation, before becoming the first female managing director to grace the Premier League when the club was promoted in 2002.

In 2010, Brady was appointed vice-chairman of West Ham, and has since overseen the club’s move into the London Stadium this season as well as a period of consistency as an established top-flight club.

Bilic’s side are 11th in the Premier League ahead of their weekend visit to Bournemouth.

In other West Ham news, Brady has revealed she “loves” this Tottenham player for not covering his body in tattoos.
