Former Celtic striker John Hartson has given his verdict on Celtic’s 4-0 victory over Rangers in the Scottish Cup semi-final at Hampden.
Hartson was very impressed with the Bhoys’ performance, praising them as ‘relentless’.
“Celtic relentless! Making this look so easy!” he said on his personal Twitter account.

The Hoops were indeed relentless, as they dominated the game from start to finish.
The Bhoys controlled the midfield thanks to the excellent Olivier Ntcham and Scott Brown, and this provided the stability for the Bhoys to build on, and they were 2-0 up at half-time thanks to goals from Tom Rogic and Callum McGregor.
The Hoops continued to press their advantage home in the second-half, and doubled their goal tally thanks to penalties from Moussa Dembele and Ntcham.
The Bhoys can now look forward to clinching the league title with a win over Neil Lennon’s Hibernian at Easter Road on Saturday.
Football Insider verdict
Hoops fans will thoroughly agree with their former striker, as the Bhoys were well-worthy of their triumph against their bitter rivals. Brendan Rodgers’ side completely overwhelmed the Gers, who could not cope with their speed and guile in midfield, which shined throughout the game. Add to that the performance of Dembele, who now appears to be back to his best, then the Bhoys were always going to win the game. The performance was on a par with some of the Hoops’ best from last season, and it looks like only a matter of time until they win their seventh league title in a row.
