Solanke and Kluivert react to Antoine Semenyo’s new message amid Bournemouth exit links
Dom Solanke and Justin Kluivert have reacted to a new message from Antoine Semenyo amid rumours of him being set to leave Bournemouth this summer.
Bournemouth enjoyed a stellar 2024/25 campaign under Andoni Iraola, as they finished in ninth place in the Premier League and reached the FA Cup quarter-finals.
The Basque boss has built a strong squad in his short time on the south-coast, but the Cherries look to be in danger of losing numerous important players this summer after their impressive displays last term, with Semenyo being no exception.
He enjoyed a breakout 2024/25 season at the Vitality Stadium, scoring 13 goals and providing seven assists across 42 appearances in all competitions, and Football Insider revealed last month that Tottenham have been told Bournemouth are prepared to accept offers of around £70million for Semenyo this summer amid their interest in his services.
Former Spurs scout Mick Brown recently told Football Insider that Bournemouth are determined to keep hold of Semenyo beyond the summer transfer window with interest from the North London outfit, and despite recently signing a new deal with the club, doubts around Semenyo’s Cherries future still remain.

Semenyo shares off-season update away from Bournemouth
Semenyo could be set to stay at Bournemouth after recently signing new terms, but the same may not be said for some his teammates, especially after Football Insider revealed in June that Bournemouth are braced to lose Illia Zabarnyi to Paris Saint-Germain.
The Cherries returned to pre-season training at the start of this month [Bournemouth], and Ghanaian international Semenyo took to Instagram on Sunday (13 July) to share a recap of his summer off with the caption: “What is your why.”
His update was reacted to with likes from former Bournemouth striker Solanke and current Cherries man Kluivert, while Kepa Arrizabalaga, Marcus Tavernier, Iliman Ndiaye and Callum Hudson-Odoi all also left likes.
Bournemouth are more likely to sell Kluivert over Semenyo
Football Insider verdict
Semenyo will likely want to test himself at a higher level sooner rather than later, but it seems more likely that the Cherries will sell his attack partner Kluivert this summer amid interest in his services.
Football Insider recently revealed that Kluivert is interested in joining Bayer Leverkusen this summer, and has discussed his future with his agent after Dean Huijsen joined Real Madrid and Milos Kerkez moved to Liverpool.
Appearances | Goals | Assists |
75 | 22 | 10 |
Bournemouth are potentially facing a mass exodus in the coming months after those two moves, and Kluivert would be as big a loss as the others after he registered 13 goals and eight assists last term.
They are likely much more open to letting Kluivert go in this window, as shown by handing Semenyo a new long-term deal, as well as the fact there there has also been interest in him from Premier League side Newcastle United [The Sun] ahead of this summer.
