Solly March and Georginio Rutter react to new announcement at Brighton
Georginio Rutter and Solly March have both reacted to a significant update around one of their Brighton teammates.
The Seagulls produced another productive campaign last season, as they finished eighth in the Premier League standings.
Rutter only joined Brighton from Leeds last summer, while the long-serving March returned to action for the club late in the campaign following an extended absence through injury.
Now it has been confirmed that Tariq Lamptey also looks set to stay at the AMEX Stadium for the time being.

Tariq Lamptey signs new contract
Having moved to the south coast club from Chelsea back in January 2020, the right back has now amassed well over 100 appearances for the Seagulls.
However, his contract at the AMEX had been due to expire this summer, and Football Insider reported back in January that Leicester City had shown an interest in Lamptey.
On Monday (9 June), Brighton announced that the Ghana international has signed a new one-year deal to secure his future with the club until the end of the 2025/26 campaign.
That has seemingly gone down well with some of his teammates, with March liking the club’s post confirming that extension for the 24-year-old.
Meanwhile, Rutter also expressed his delight at the news, as he commented on that post with an emphatic: “Yesssssss!!!!!!!!”.
Brighton facing busy summer
Football Insider Verdict
Even with this new contract now announced, it will still be interesting to see if Lamptey is still at Brighton come the end of the transfer window.
This is only a one-year contract that he has signed with the club, and so this summer may still be their last chance to cash in on him.
As a result if a decent enough offer is made, the Seagulls may well be tempted to cash in on the right-back regardless of this announcement.
There is also a good chance there will be other departures this summer, with Newcastle being linked with a move for Brighton attacker Joao Pedro as well.
With that in mind, the squad available to manager Fabian Hurzeler may look rather different come the start of the campaign, which would make it intriguing to see if they can maintain the form of this season.
