‘Son could quit Tottenham immediately after new Saudi twist’
Son Heung-min could be ready to quit Tottenham immediately after a new twist has emerged in Saudi Arabia.
The South Korea international has one year left to run on his Spurs contract after the club triggered an extension earlier this year.
Football Insider revealed on 10 June Tottenham chiefs could go over new boss Thomas Frank’s head and accept a “very lucrative” bid for Son this summer.
Sources say an executive decision could be taken by the club instead of Frank if a substantial offer arrives for the winger, even though the Dane would prefer to keep him.
Son turns 33 next week and is beginning to show signs of decline in the fast-paced English game.
However, the Spurs captain still managed to register 11 goals and 12 assists in 46 appearances in the 2024-25 season.
Son has spent the past decade in north London after joining the Premier League side from Bayer Leverkusen for £22million in 2015.

Tottenham could agree £50m Son deal
Son is once again a target for Saudi Pro League clubs this summer as speculation continues around his future.
The South Korean has previously turned down interest from Saudi Arabia, but he could be tempted to make the move to the Middle East if he receives a big-money offer.
The Saudi FA confirmed on 2 July its domestic transfer window would open on 3 July, rather than the previously scheduled 20 July.
That means an offer could soon be tabled for Son, with a Tottenham exit potentially on the cards for him this summer.
Former Everton CEO Keith Wyness told Football Insider Son could complete a £50million move to Saudi as he believes now is the “right time” for him to leave Spurs.

West Ham respond to Tottenham’s Mohammed Kudus offer
Mohammed Kudus has emerged as a transfer target for Tottenham as they look to strengthen their attacking options.
Football Insider revealed on 2 July West Ham have rejected Spurs’ opening bid for Kudus.
Tottenham tabled an offer of £50million, plus an additional £5million in potential add-ons, for the 24-year-old.
However, West Ham have turned down the approach for Kudus as it did not meet their valuation of the player.
The Ghana international registered five goals and four assists in 35 appearances last season.
