Son injury update ‘bad news for Crystal Palace’ ahead of Tottenham clash – pundit
Kevin Phillips is predicting Tottenham will breeze past Crystal Palace this weekend even if Heung-Min Son is injured.
The Sunderland legend, speaking exclusively to Football Insider, reacted to the latest on the attacker.
Son suffered a calf injury in South Korea’s 0-0 World Cup qualifier draw with Iraq on 2 September.

South Korea boss Paulo Bento revealed that Son “tried to train on Monday [6 September]” but was unable to continue, as per the Evening Standard on 8 September.
The attacker has since returned to Spurs in order to be assessed by the club’s in-house medical team.
Phillips insists Spurs won’t struggle without Son after his teammates’ impressive start to the season.
“When Kane got injured a few years ago, Son stepped up,” Phillips told Football Insider correspondent Ben Wild.
“It was almost like ‘Harry who?’ at one point. For me, Son is a class player and any team would miss him.
“But Kane looks like he’s getting back to his best, we all saw the goal he scored against Poland.
“Bergwijn has been brilliant and Moura can hurt anyone on his day and he can cause Palace problems.
“It’s still bad news for Palace. When you are a big club you can get away with it.
“I won’t disrespect my old club Palace but you would think Tottenham can get away with not having him.
“It will be a tough match but you would back Spurs, tey can get another huge result there.”

Tottenham sit top of the Premier League with a 100% record.
They have won all of their league games 1-0 and progressed to the group stage of the UEFA Conference League.
