There’s a huge amount of Wolves icons who have etched their way into the history books at Molineux over the 141 years of the club’s existence.

Nuno Espirito Santo’s current crop of players look as though they may have some legends in the making.

Ruben Neves, Diogo Joto and Ivan Caveleiro are among those who have been snapped up in the last two seasons to make this current side look as though they could be on the verge of greatness.

The money pumped into the club by Chinese owners Fosun will no doubt serve up some more memorable names down the line but here, Football Insider takes a look back as far as the 1930s at some of the greats.

Originally named as St. Luke’s, Wolves have been one of England’s most successful clubs with three First Division titles, four FA Cups and two League Cups to brag about, as well as one appearance in the UEFA Cup final in 1972.

Wanderers would not have picked up all them titles if it was not for the exceptional talents of players down the years.

Here, Football Insider picks the five greatest-ever Wolves players.
