Sorry Bully, no top spot for Molineux hero in five greatest-ever Wolves players

4. Ron Flowers

Flowers will forever be immortal to Wolves fans having been one of their most successful players under Cullis’ management.

The Doncaster-born midfielder scored 37 goals in 512 appearances for the Black Country club.

He played in an attacking role but as the years rolled on Flowers became known for his influential displays in a deeper-lying midfield position.

Flowers won all three First Division titles, one FA Cup and was also part of England’s 1966 World Cup-winning squad.
