Celtic might not be as free-flowing as they were last season, but the Hoops are still on the verge of making history by becoming the first ever team in Scottish football history to win the domestic treble two seasons in a row.

The emphatic 4-0 win over Rangers in the Scottish Cup semi-final was reminiscent of the Bhoys’ best performances from last season, and the return to form of the majority of the squad has come at just the right time.

With the Bhoys on the verge of clinching the league title – only one more victory is needed – we thought we’d examine who were the Hoops’ five best performances of the season.

It has to be admitted that the Hoops top scorer – and reigning player of the year – Scott Sinclair does not feature, as his form has went from one extreme to another with no consistency at all from the Englishman.

But some players have been very consistent and they are the players who make the list.
