Sorry Nuno, there is no place for you in five greatest-ever Wolves managers

3. Graham Turner

Turner is arguably the man that Wolves fans have to thank for the club not sinking into oblivion in the late 1980s.

The 70-year-old joined Wanderers when they were in the Fourth Division in 1986 when they were in massive financial trouble.

He took Wolves to the play-offs in his first season, but failed to get them out of the fourth-tier.

After that year, Turner managed to secure back-to-back promotions thanks to the goalscoring exploits of Steve Bull, taking them all the way to the Second Division, which would then become the First Division thanks to the Premier League being born.

One with way through taking Wolves up the league ladder, he also won the 1988 Football League Trophy.
