Sources: AC Milan have active interest in Arsenal sensation Folarin Balogun

AC Milan are tracking Arsenal striker Folarin Balogun as a potential target for summer, sources have told Football Insider.

The 21-year-old has scored 16 goals in 21 league matches for Stade Reims this season whilst at the Ligue 1 club on loan from Arsenal.

This has put him in the spotlight and the striker will make a decision in the summer about his future as it is currently unclear if he is in Arsenal’s plans for next season.

The Gunners have Eddie Nketiah and Gabriel Jesus as forward options and its believed Balogun wants to make sure he is playing regularly next season.

Milan are not alone in their pursuit of the forward, with a host of top clubs keen on his signature in a deal that would cost in the region of £35-40million if Arsenal decide to sell.

The American-born forward is contracted until 2025 with the north Londoners.

AC Milan have scouted Balogun extensively this season and are keen on securing his services should Arteta decide he is not in his plans.

The forward has been so impressive, his season there were raised eyebrows at his emission from the England squad with fears he will choose to represent the USA at international level.

For England Under-21s, he has already shown his scoring prowess netting six times in only eleven caps.

Balogun has scored 17 goals from 28 appearances in all competitions for Stade Reims this term.

He has made only 10 senior appearances for Arsenal, which have yielded two goals and one assist.
