Sources: Arsenal star Tyreece John-Jules agrees Derby County move
Arsenal striker Tyreece John-Jules is set to sign for Derby County on loan, sources have told Football Insider.
The 22-year-old forward has agreed to join the League One outfit on a loan deal that runs until January.
Rams boss Paul Warne has been eager to add more firepower to his Derby squad this summer and has pushed to sign the Gunners star.
Derby have started their League One campaign with two wins and two losses, leaving them 10th in the table after four games.
After agreeing a deal to sign John-Jules, Derby will hope the young striker is ready to join their squad for their trip to Peterborough on Saturday (26 August).
John-Jules joined Arsenal’s academy aged eight and spent a decade in the London club’s youth system before signing his first professional deal in 2018.
Despite travelling with the squad to a number of matches and participating in pre-season tours, John-Jules is yet to make his senior debut for the Gunners.
Instead, staff at Arsenal have preferred to send him out on various loan spells to help him gather experience.
His first loan stint came at Lincoln City in January 2020, before he spent the 2020/21 season at Doncaster Rovers – scoring five goals in 21 appearances.

John-Jules spent the first half of the 2021/22 season on loan at Blackpool, before being recalled and sent to Sheffield Wednesday in January.
He experienced a successful loan stint last season at Kieran McKenna’s Ipswich Town, where he scored three times in 21 appearances to help the Tractor Boys to a second-placed finish in League One.
