Sources: Arsenal swoop for Wilfried Zaha as talks collapse
Arsenal are preparing an offer for Wilfried Zaha this summer, sources have told Football Insider.
The 30-year-old has been a long-term target for the Gunners, who are looking to add more firepower to their squad ahead of the 2023/24 campaign.
Zaha is out of contract at Crystal Palace this summer and is set to become a free agent after spending nine years at Selhurst Park.
Football Insider sources revealed on Friday (12 May) that Zaha is now ‘very likely’ to leave Palace this summer.
Palace have held talks with Zaha over a new deal, but the Ivory Coast international is keen to challenge himself elsewhere next season.
Reports suggest that Palace have offered Zaha a four-year deal worth £200,000 per week to stay at the club.
It is understood that Chelsea and French club Marseille are also interested in signing Zaha this summer and could rival Arsenal for his signature.
Arsenal’s North London rivals Tottenham have also shared a long-term interest in Zaha and almost signed him twice under Mauricio Pochettino – including a rejected £45million approach in 2018.

The Gunners have also made previous big-money approaches for Zaha, and they are ready to reignite their interest in the summer now that the possibility of a transfer fee has been removed.
Zaha has scored seven goals and registered three assists for Palace in 27 appearances across all competitions this season, placing him second in the club’s scoring charts behind Eberechi Eze for 2022/23.
