Sources: Arsenal will listen to offers for three senior stars to pave way for marquee signing

Arsenal are set to listen to offers for three senior stars as they prepare to bring in new signings this summer, sources have told Football Insider.

The Gunners need to balance the books with some significant sales after three big January captures and a £50million net spend.

Arsenal have accumuated a net spend of about £330m since Mikel Arteta took charge in December 2019, following the recent captures of Leandro Trossard, Jorginho and Jakub Kiwior – and that does not included the failed £70m pursuit of Moises Caicedo.

It means there will need to be some big departures this summer to raise funds for what is expected to be some marquee signings, with Declan Rice among the top targets.

The return of Champions League football will ease the financial pain for owner Stan Kroenke and the board, with that possibility edging closer with Saturday’s memorable Premier League win over Bournemouth.

One player who could raise a significant fee is Kieran Tierney, the left-back squeezed out by the excellent form of 2022 signing Aleksandr Zinchenko.

Tierney, 25, has started only four Premier League matches among his 26 appearances in all competitions this season, many of them as a substitute, and was left on the bench once again on Saturday.

The former Celtic star, who is valued around the £30million mark, is firmly on Newcastle’s radar, while the club also have an interest in Fulham’s Antonee Robinson, with Man City also keen on him.

Arsenal will want to at least recoup the £25m that they spent on him in 2019 and Tierney has three years left on his deal.

The club are likely to offload Albert Sambi Lokonga, the midfielder who is on loan at Crystal Palace, and Nuno Tavares, the left back on loan at Marseilles.
