Sources: Big update on Bayern Munich bid to sign Joao Palhinha in January
Bayern Munich remain interested in a potential January move for Fulham star Joao Palhinha, sources have told Football Insider.
The Bundesliga giants came close to signing the 28-year-old in the summer but saw the transfer fall through at the last minute.
Palhinha has since signed a new contract at Fulham running until June 2028 but could still move on from Craven Cottage in the new year.

Marco Silva has recently spoken out about the midfielder, claiming he expects interest in his services in January and suggesting “10-15 clubs” are discussing a potential swoop.
Bayern remain keen on Palhinha but a well-placed source has told Football Insider that he is not a “top priority” at this time.
It is believed a centre-back will be the priority for Thomas Tuchel’s side in January – but they could launch a late-window move for the Portugal international if the funds are available.
The announcement of a bumper new five-year contract for Palhinha in September came as a surprise following the collapse of his Bayern move just days earlier.
Fulham pulled the plug on the transfer at the eleventh hour after failing to land a replacement for him on transfer deadline day (1 September).
Palhinha has turned out 15 times across all competitions this season, notching two goals and one assist.
The 23-cap Portugal international made 40 appearances last term in his first season in England, racking up some of the most impressive tackling stats in the Premier League.
