Sources: Blackburn line up late-window move for Wolves star Ryan Giles
Wolves wing-back Ryan Giles is a loan target for Blackburn Rovers after a move back to Cardiff fell through, Football Insider understands.
The 22-year-old enjoyed a superb first half of the season on loan with the Bluebirds and was the league’s leading assist-maker when Bruno Lage recalled him at the start of January.
A recruitment source has told Football Insider that Blackburn are preparing a late move for Giles before Monday’s transfer deadline as they look to strengthen their squad to boost their promotion bid.

Giles was called back by his parent club Wolves at the beginning of this month’s window.
Wolves made the decision to prop up their squad numbers amid a surge in the Omicron Covid variant.
Cardiff were keen to re-sign Giles this month, but after growing frustrated waiting for green light from Molineux they opted to instead move for Stoke’s Alfie Doughty.
Giles contributed a staggering nine assists for Steve Morison’s side in the first half of the campaign.
The wide man has made just one senior appearance for Wolves – a 2-2 draw with Shrewsbury Town in the FA Cup.
His contract at Molineux runs until the summer of 2025.
A move to Ewood Park would be the fifth loan transfer of Giles’ career.
The Wanderers academy product has enjoyed temporary spells at Shrewsbury Town, Coventry, Rotherham and Cardiff.

Tony Mowbray is looking to add more creativity to his side before Monday’s transfer deadline.
It comes as star midfielder Joe Rothwell nears an exit from the club.
In other news, it can be revealed Bournemouth have agreed a fee with Blackburn for Rothwell.
