Sources: Blackburn Rovers agree pre-contract with Hedges after two Aberdeen bids rejected
Blackburn Rovers have agreed a pre-contract deal for Aberdeen winger Ryan Hedges, Football Insider understands.
Hedges, 26, is out of contract at the Dons this summer and is free to talk to clubs outside Scotland and agree a pre-contract this month.
A recruitment source has told Football Insider that the Wales winger has agreed terms with Blackburn and will link up with them when he is a free agent in the summer.
Aberdeen have rejected two bids from Rovers this month for Hedges as they look to take him on straight away.
But Blackburn are still hoping to secure the Wales international before the transfer window closes next week and are expected to return with another offer.
As quoted by the Daily Record earlier this month (7 January), Dons boss Stepehen Glass revealed the club had offered Hedges an “unbelievable” offer to stay at Pittodrie.
However, the former Barnsley man has decided to return down south and could be playing Premier League football next season with promotion-chasing Blackburn.
Hedges has remained a key player under Glass at Aberdeen and has five goals and six assists in 21 games across all competitions this term.

He joined the club from Barnsley in 2019 but has not signed a new contract with Aberdeen since the three-year deal he penned on arrival.
Blackburn are currently third in the Championship and only remain out of the automatic places on goal difference.
