Sources: Bohemians set to sign Northampton Town star Jordan Flores

Northampton Town midfielder Jordan Flores is poised to join Irish side Bohemians, Football Insider understands.

The 26-year-old is in the final six months of his contract and the Irish club are in advanced talks to sign him in a permanent deal.

A recruitment source has told Football Insider that all parties expect the deal to be completed by the 11pm deadline.

Former Wigan and Hull midfielder Flores has previous experience of playing in the League of Ireland after enjoying a spell at Dundalk from 2019 to 2021.

The 26-year-old starred in the Europa League for the County Louth side last season, netting two goals and assisting once during the competition’s group stage.

Flores has featured just 11 times in League Two for Northampton this term.

The Wigan-born midfielder’s last league start came against Bristol Rovers on 13 November.

The former Blackpool loanee signed a one-year deal after departing Hull City on a free transfer last summer (2021).

Flores came through the ranks at Wigan Athletic.

He endured loans with Blackpool, Chesterfield, Fylde and Swedish club Ostersunds during his time with the Latics.

The midfielder made just 12 appearances for the Greater Manchester side.

Flores, who is of Spanish heritage, is no stranger to success in Ireland.

He won the League of Ireland, Irish Cup, and Irish League Cup during his spell with Dundalk.
