Sources: Brentford submitting big new Ajer bid after Celtic agree to sign replacement
Brentford are submitting a new bid for Celtic defender Kristoffer Ajer, Football Insider can exclusively reveal.
The Londoners had an offer worth £12million up front plus £3m of add-ons rejected by the Scottish giants earlier this month.
But a recruitment source has told Football Insider that Brentford are returning to the negotiating table with a new £15m bid that will include a higher guaranteed payment.

It comes after Celtic reached an agreement with Rubin Kazan over a deal for Swedish centre-back Carl Starfelt.
This site revealed earlier today that the Hoops have agreed a £4.3m fee for the 26-year-old and he is undergoing a medical ahead of completing the transfer.
Ange Postecoglou’s side are keen to add at least one centre-half to their squad this summer with Ajer, 23, wanting a move to the Premier League or a top European club.
Ajer has less than 12 months left on his contract at Parkhead and it looks highly unlikely that he will sign a new deal.
Football Insider understands the Hoops board want £20million for their centre-back in this window and there is no shortage of interest.
Brentford are joined by Norwich City and Bayer Leverkusen in the hunt for the 23-times Norway international.

Ajer was one of Celtic’s standout performers in what was a disappointing 2020-21 campaign for the club.
He made 46 appearances across all competitions – only Callum McGregor featured on more occasions.
