Sources: Brighton set to be ‘blown out of the water’ by Liverpool offer for Alexis Mac Allister

Brighton are aware of growing interest in star midfielder Alexis Mac Allister from Premier League giants like Liverpool and Man United, sources have told Football Insider.

Chelsea are also interested in signing the 24-year-old Seagulls star this summer.

A well-placed source told Football Insider that Brighton are likely to be “blown out of the water” by the likes of Man United, Chelsea and Liverpool when it comes to offering personal terms to Mac Allister.

The World Cup winner is already among the highest earners at Brighton, bringing in a reported wage of £50,000-a-week.

His contract at the Amex Stadium runs until June 2025.

It is believed that Mac Allister is keen to play at a higher level and will find a summer move to a top club too good to turn down.

The Argentina international has notched ten goals and two assists across 29 appearances in all competitions this season.

He can play several attacking and defensive roles in midfield – and has also played out on the left flank for his country.

Mac Allister started all but one game in Qatar as Argentina lifted the World Cup last year (2022).

He has racked up 88 total Premier League appearances since arriving at Brighton in 2019, notching 14 goals and four assists.

Liverpool

Brighton stars Kaoru Mitoma and Moises Caicedo have also been linked with mega-money moves away from the club this summer.

The Seagulls are firmly in the race for Champions League qualification with 10 games left to play, and also face an FA Cup semi-final against Man United on 23 April.
