
Sources: Browne undergoing Charlton Athletic medical today after Middlesbrough agree deal
Middlesbrough attacker Marcus Browne will undergo a Charlton Athletic medical on Tuesday after agreeing a move, Football Insider understands.
Now a recruitment source has told Football Insider that Charlton are putting the finishing touches to a loan deal that will run for the rest of the season.
Browne will have medical tests on Tuesday before putting pen to paper on the transfer.
He is under contract at the Riverside until the end of next season.
The former West Ham player has not featured for Boro since the beginning of January 2021 after suffering a serious knee injury in an FA Cup game.
After not making a matchday squad this term, Charlton will give him the opportunity to play regular football and refind his form.
The Englishman has 11 goals and eight assists in 48 League One games for his former club Oxford United.
At Boro, he found the net twice and provided one assist in 22 games across all competitions before his injury.
He will now become one of Johnnie Jackson’s first signings as Charlton boss.

The Addicks are up to 14th in League One after their 2-0 win over Fleetwood Town at the weekend.
