Sources: Bundesliga club plotting to sign West Ham veteran to replace £60m-valued star Frimpong
Bayer Leverkusen have an active interest in West Ham star Vladimir Coufal going into the summer window, sources have told Football Insider.
The right-back, 30, is out of contract in June but the Irons have an option to extend his deal by two years.
They could trigger that option to avoid Coufal leaving for nothing and then still let him go amid interest from Leverkusen.

The Bundesliga club, who are ninth in the top tier in Germany, are in the market for a new right-back amid strong doubts over the future of Jeremie Frimpong.
The former Celtic star is wanted by Premier League clubs including Man United, and Leverkusen have reacted by slapping a £60million valuation on him.
Coufal is highly regarded in Germany due to his experience and proven calibre, at international, Premier League and European club level.
The future of the Irons’ other senior right-back Ben Johnson is also up in the air.
The 23-year-old, who will have just a year left on his contract in the summer, is highly regarded by Moyes.
Johnson attracted interest from Everton in the January window and an enquiry was made – but the Englishman remained a West Ham player.
Johnson has racked up eight Premier League starts among 23 appearances across all competitions this term and has been a regular fixture in the Europa Conference League.

By contrast, Coufal has 16 Premier League starts among 26 appearances in all competitions.
The Czech made nine consecutive league starts before suffering a heel injury in the 4-0 win over Nottingham Forest on 25 February that has kept him out of West Ham’s last three matches.
In other news, Moyes is “trembling” over Danny Ings issue at West Ham.
