Sources: Burnley and Barnsley in 12-club race to sign Plymouth Argyle star Camara
Burnley are among the clubs tracking Plymouth Argyle star Panutche Camara ahead of January, Football Insider can exclusively reveal.
The midfielder, 24, was watched by scouts from 12 clubs, including Sean Dyche’s side and Barnsley, in his side’s midweek FA Cup win over Sheffield Wednesday.
A recruitment source has told Football Insider that Camara is likely to leave Plymouth next year, with his contract expiring at the end of the season.
He has yet to agree an extension, which has opened the door to interested teams.
Camara further enhanced his reputation with two assists against Wednesday and is a regular scorer and assist maker for the League One outfit.
He has been a mainstay for Plymouth this season, starting all 17 league games so far.

The Pilgrims are sitting pretty at the top of League One this term, losing just once.
Camara netted two goals and contributed a further two assists in 41 appearances last season in 41 appearances after joining on a free transfer from Crawley in summer 2020.
The Bissau-Guinean has already matched those totals this term after just 17 games.
Camara was often utilised in a more attacking role during his 118-game stint with Crawley.
However, he has since settled into a traditional centre-midfield role with Plymouth.
Dale Stephens and Josh Brownhill are among the midfield options for Dyche at Burnley.
The Clarets will be desperate to bolster their squad ahead of a Premier League relegation battle.
Meanwhile, Barnsley are in a relegation battle of their own.
They sit 23rd in the Championship after falling short in the playoffs last term.
