Sources: Calum Chambers could now agree Aston Villa transfer next week after rejecting three moves
Clubs in Turkey will now explore a move for Aston Villa outcast Calum Chambers after he rejected three deadline-day moves, sources have told Football Insider.
West Brom were among the clubs reportedly in the running to land the 29-year-old.
But as revealed by Football Insider, Chambers dramatically snubbed three late proposals as the window slammed shut on Thursday (1 February).
The Turkish window remains open for another week (shuts 9 February) and Super Lig clubs are expected to once again register their interest in the defender after failing with moves last summer (2023).
Chambers has been told he is not in the plans of Villa boss Unai Emery but could not agree the terms of an exit late in the January window.
It is believed Villa were pushing behind the scenes to complete a deal for the ex-Arsenal ace and will continue to explore sale options in the next week.
Earlier this year, manager Emery took the unusual step of confirming to the media that both Chambers and out-of-favour winger Bertrand Traore were up for sale.
Traore saw his contract terminated on Thursday (1 February) before joining La Liga side Villarreal on a free transfer.
Chambers, who is under contract at Villa Park until June 2025, remains on the books despite making just three appearances totalling 188 minutes of action so far this term.

Villa had hoped to offload the pair to free up space and funds in the wage bill for more signings of their own.
Emery’s side sit fifth in the Premier League table on 43 points after winning just one of their last five league games.
In other news, Aston Villa pulled plug on late signing after extensive talks.
