Sources: Cardiff City star Curtis Nelson set for Blackpool medical ahead of move
Cardiff City defender Curtis Nelson is scheduled to have a medical at Blackpool today ahead of his move, sources have told Football Insider.
Blackpool are set to announce the deal imminently after new manager Mick McCarthy gave the club the green light to pursue the deal.
Football Insider sources revealed on Friday morning (27 January) that Blackpool were in negotiations for Nelson, but talks have advanced and a deal has now been agreed.

Nelson’s Cardiff contract is set to expire in the summer, and the Bluebirds have decided to let him leave this month rather than on a free transfer at the end of the season.
Nelson enjoyed seven seasons at Plymouth Argyle and three seasons at Oxford United before making a permanent move to Cardiff in 2019.
At Oxford, Nelson was a regular starter, making 99 league appearances for the side and scoring seven goals in the process.
He was also named in the PFA League Two Team of the Year in the 2014/15 season during his time at Plymouth.
After impressing early in his career, Nelson joined Cardiff on a free transfer, initially signing on a two-year deal.

He immediately became a crucial part of the team in his debut season, making 33 appearances in the Championship as he helped Cardiff reach the playoffs.
Nelson racked up another 74 league appearances in the following two seasons, but has been limited to just 475 minutes of game time in the 2022/23 campaign.
