Sources: Celtic confident of agreeing £30m+ summer deal that’ll smash Kieran Tierney record
Celtic are confident they can fetch between £25-30million in the summer for midfield ace Matt O’Riley with a move at that time considered increasingly likely, sources have told Football Insider.
As revealed by Football Insider (29 December), the 23-year-old wants to remain at Parkhead in the January window and is enjoying his football under Brendan Rodgers.
It is believed there is major interest in O’Riley from clubs in England and across Europe this January, but the Hoops would demand a record-breaking fee to even consider letting him depart mid-season.

Sources told Football Insider that prospective clubs are expected to maintain their interest in a move going into the main summer window.
If Rodgers’ side were to secure in excess of £25million for O’Riley, he would become the club’s all-time record departure, beating Kieran Tierney’s and Jota’s reported £25million sales.
As revealed by Football Insider (26 December), Premier League side West Ham United have kept close tabs on the Denmark international and have sent scouts to watch him in action this season.
The club will expect to make a huge profit on the Fulham academy graduate after they paid a reported £1.5million to MK Dons in January 2022.
The central midfielder has been an ever-present for the Hoops this season playing in all but one game in all competitions.
He has notched nine goals and eight assists across 26 appearances including three assists in the Hoops’ Champions League group stage campaign.
Sources have also told Football Insider (28 December) that the Hoops have a three-man January target list and have made signing a striker a priority.

Celtic still lead the league after their 3-0 away win against Dundee on Boxing Day and will next face a visit from fellow title chasers Rangers on Saturday (30 December).
