Sources: Celtic deal to sign Dylan Reid collapses after St Mirren talks

Celtic have pulled the plug on their bid to sign St Mirren sensation Dylan Reid, sources have told Football Insider.

The Glasgow giants have recently revived their pursuit of the midfielder, 17, after initially holding talks over a deal earlier in the summer.

But a deadline-day deal is now off the table after the two clubs failed to agree on a fee.

Reid is yet to make a Premiership appearance for St Mirren this season.

The Scotland under-17 international was a substitute in the Buddies’ League Cup group stage win over Edinburgh City on 23 July.

Reid signed a professional deal with the Saints in 2021 after graduating from their youth setup.
