Sources: Chelsea in pole position to sign Birmingham City sensation Trevan Sanusi ahead of Arsenal
Chelsea and Arsenal are battling to sign Birmingham City sensation Trevan Sanusi, sources have told Football Insider.
The forward, 15, has rejected offers from the Championship club of a scholarship contract and is looking to leave the club after he turns 16 next month.
It is believed that London giants Chelsea and Arsenal are hot on the trail of the youngster, who is an England youth international capped at Under-16s and Under-15s level.

Chelsea are pushing especially hard for Sanusi and are currently in pole position to win the race for his signature.
The youngster has been closely watched in youth-team matches by scouts from Premier League clubs and they have delivered rave reviews to their recruitment departments.
Sanusi is a versatile forward who can lead the attack in a central role or play out wide, and is a prolific scorer and creator at age-group level.
Chelsea have invested mammoth sums in their first-team squad since the Todd Boehly-led takeover last summer, with £660million spent in the last two windows.
They have also spent hugely on overhauling the recruitment set-up to make sure they are not only identifying the best senior talents, but also the outstanding emerging ones.
Football Insider broke the news on Sunday (5 March) that Chelsea have have agreed a deal to hire Man City talent spotter Stewart Thompson.

City’s head of UK academy scouting is heading to the London giants as they continue the huge overhaul of their entire transfer set-up.
Thompson, 58, has agreed terms with Chelsea and will complete a period of gardening leave before joining them.
