Sources: Clubs plan raids for £20m-rated Celtic star Matt O’Riley
Celtic will demand a fee of at least £20million for star man Matt O’Riley in the summer window, sources have told Football Insider.
Football Insider revealed on Saturday (20 January) that there is no possibility of O’Riley leaving the club before the January window ends.
That is despite widely reported interest from La Liga leaders Girona and Serie A giants Inter Milan.
It is believed Premier League clubs are also monitoring the midfielder following his impressive performances this term.
A well-placed Celtic source has told Football Insider that the Parkhead club will hold out for a £20million fee for the Denmark international.
It is believed clubs across Europe and in England are already planning to test the Hoops’ resolve at the end of the 2023-24 campaign with formal offers.
But for now, Celtic manager Brendan Rodgers has been crystal clear on his intentions for the midfielder, insisting the club have “no intention of selling” him this month.
O’Riley has managed 10 goals and 10 assists in 28 games across all competitions so far in the 2023-24 campaign.
The ex-Fulham and MK Dons star has a contract running until May 2027 after penning fresh terms in September 2023.

He recently made his 100th appearance for Celtic after leaving Craven Cottage for the Scottish side in 2022.
Celtic are currently in the box seat to seal a third consecutive Scottish Premiership title and sit eight points clear of rivals Rangers.
