Sources: Coventry City agree deal for Preston North End star Sean Maguire
Coventry City have agreed a deal for Preston North End striker Sean Maguire, sources have told Football Insider.
Maguire, 28, is out of contract at Preston at the end of the season and the Championship side are willing to let him move on before the close of this month’s transfer window.
Coventry City are applying the finishing touches to the move which will see the Republic of Ireland international join until the end of the season.

Coventry are in need of attacking reinforcements due to the recent departure of Martyn Waghorn and injuries to the likes of Matt Godden and Callum O’Hare.
The Sky Blues have found the back of the net just 29 times in 27 matches this season, ranking them 19th in the Championship in terms of goals scored.
Maguire has spent the last six seasons at Preston after joining the club from Cork City back in 2017.
The experienced striker has netted 22 goals in 159 Championship appearances for the Lilywhites.
Maguire has not completed a full 90 minutes for Preston this season and is also yet to score in his 10 league appearances.

Since enjoying a run of nine appearances in 10 games, Maguire has been left out of the Preston squad completely since the resumption of the Championship after the World Cup break.
Preston boss Ryan Lowe has a plethora of attacking options at the club, and the arrival of Man City loanee Liam Delap in January slumped Maguire even further down the pecking order.
