Sources: Crystal Palace exploring signing defender as Marc Guehi heads out
Crystal Palace are already drawing up a list of centre-back targets as they explore a new defender signing, sources have told Football Insider.
Marc Guehi has told Palace that he is not signing a new contract and will leave the club on a free transfer at the end of the season.
Guehi almost joined Liverpool on deadline day of the summer window but the Eagles blocked the move at the last moment.
Glasner threatened to quit if his captain was sold without replacement, and the transfer was cancelled as a result.

Crystal Palace to find Marc Guehi replacement next summer
Sources say that despite the fact Palace are already working to find a replacement for Guehi, they will wait until the summer to sign a new centre-back.
Doing business in January is notoriously difficult, and the club want to give themselves the necessary time to fill the void left by the departing defender.
Palace were primed to sign Ousmane Diomande from Sporting Lisbon over the summer, but were unable to get a deal over the line.
It remains to be seen if the Eagles will return for Diomande at the end of the season, or whether they will consider other options.
Crowded race expected for Guehi in the summer
There is expected to be an incredibly crowded race to sign the out-of-contract Palace centre back next summer.
Football Insider revealed on 10 October that Liverpool remain optimistic about securing Guehi.

However, the likes of Chelsea, Real Madrid and Bayern Munich have all been linked with the England international.
Liverpool are still seen as the favourites, considering how close they were to bringing Guehi in over the summer, but a move to Anfield is far from a certainty.
The 25-year-old can sign a pre-contract with foreign teams from January, but English clubs will have to wait until the end of the season to try and tie him down.
